About

Symbolic Bestiary is an educational website by Studio Esoterico Cornelio devoted to one theme: real and fantastic animals in myth and symbol.

The texts explore history, sources and symbolic meanings in clear, documented language. Legends are presented as legends and beliefs as beliefs, and every article names the people, places and works from which to explore further.

The website is organised in 5 sections: Fantastic creatures, Sacred animals, Medieval bestiaries, Animals in magical tradition, Animals and stars. Each section collects twenty articles, also available in Italian.
